I just got married on August 22, 2009 in Santa Clara, and Jira was my hairstylist and makeup artist... She also did one of my bridesmaid's hairdos and my mom's makeup, and all 3 of us could not have been happier with her work! First of all, let me say that it is SO convenient to have someone who is talented at BOTH hair and makeup, who can come to your venue on your wedding day, and who can beautify multiple people in a very efficient amount of time (she has a whole team, but was able to handle all of us, plus a makeup touchup on my groom, in 2h all by herself)!

But Jira is MORE than talented: she is super super sweet and positive and really listens to her client's needs. When I had my hairstyle/makeup trial with her back in December 2008, she gave me her expert opinion on which hairstyle/makeup colors would work best for me, but she also wanted to know what *I* wanted and liked, and what my mom thought as well. The airbrushing was incredible: so refreshing and light and perfectly matched to my skin. Later, when I worried that my blush and eye color might be too bright for my wedding day, she was quick to appease and also assure me that she would do exactly what I wanted (and of course - it came out perfectly!).

I overheard her interacting with my bridesmaid and mother too, and she treated them equally respectfully and sweetly. Also, when I had my trial for hair, Jira put extensions in to demonstrate what it would look like when I was to get married 8 months later...which was a really great way to envision what I wanted! About 4 days before the wedding, I booked Jira for a haircut, to prep me for the big day. I loved the cut even by itself - she thinned out and layered my hair so that my wedding hairstyle would work; she also gave me a deep condition that made my hair super soft and shiny. Finally, importantly, on the wedding day my makeup and hair actually LASTED for the entire 12 hours that I needed it to. This despite the fact that I was dancing, sweating and didn't have any time to touch up.

I love Jira and highly recommend her!
