I was nervous that morning when I saw how windy it would be outside and I was so happy you were able to come up with a great style so that my hair would stay put the whole day. Jira is amazing! I worked with Jira for my engagement session and also on my wedding day. She is very good about listening to what I want and was able to create the looks that I wanted for my engagement session and my wedding. She and her team worked on me and my 3 bridesmaids and everyone looked so beautiful! On my wedding day, I had originally wanted my hair down. It was an outdoor ceremony, but just my luck, there were STRONG winds outside. Jira was quick, calm, and collected with plan B and ended up giving me a beautiful updo and it stayed put! Jira and her team are very professional -- they arrived a few minutes early and finished in time for my wedding photo sessions to begin. This type of professionalism is so important because you do not need added stress on your wedding day.

Jira is fabulous! She's a true artist who helped me feel gorgeous on my wedding day. What I loved about Jira is that she was willing to accommodate all my requests and worked with me on the price so that all my bridesmaids and mom could get something done. I had two trial sessions with her and at first was a little unsure of the hairstyle. But Jira assured me that once my hair was cut in layers, it would all work out.

On the wedding day, Jira and her assistant arrived on time with suitcases full of makeup and hair accessories. They made everyone look beautiful and their work lasted through the night and into the next day! If you want to feel gorgeous, visit Jira and her team!

I would recommend WowPretty for professional wedding make-up and hair needs. Jira and her team did a wonderful job on me and my bridal party. My make-up & hair stayed on the whole night- from 10 am to 12 midnight and my photographer was impressed and commented that he has never seen make-up stayed that long throughout the day! My make-up artist, Jira. She has motor hands. She finished my make up + hair in no time! As we are not hiring her for the whole day, I need my make up and hair to be long lasting and to fit both my wedding gown and evening dress well. The job was perfectly done. I need NO touch-ups during the day except reapplying some lip color. The make up + hair stay fresh after a whole day of OUTDOOR photo shoot, including one hour at the windy Chrissy Field. She also gave us great advice on the choice of hair flower - she suggested us to use two different tones of orchid. Orchid stays fresh all day even without water, and the color goes well with both my white dress and red dress. You are superb, Jira!! :)

Welcome to Wowpretty Professional Make up and Hair

Jira and the Wowpretty team dedicate their time and hearts into this blog and give all our clients the great services.

We will post our wedding day photos for 2010 only. Our goal is to try to show a variety of pictures to help give current clients ideas and show future clients a sample of our work.

We happily welcome post-wedding photos taken by professional photographers and will give credit to any contributors. Please feel free to share your beautiful photos to help give future brides ideas.

We have two locations in the San Francisco Bay Area – one in downtown Burlingame and another one in San Mateo. We are now on our 18^th year providing services for bridal hair and make-up. We started in 1993 in Asia moved to San Francisco Bay Area in 2000.

Wowpretty is composed of 17 professional stylists. These stylists are Jira (Founder), 5 Senior Stylists, and 12 Master Stylists. These stylists are all professionally trained to go through a master screening process. They each have at least 10 years experience with airbrush technique, cosmetology licenses, and use their talents to bring out each bride's unique style.
