Kala Rueksupaphol was born and raised in Bangkok. She always loved American culture but it wasn't until 2005 while visiting a friend in Alameda, CA that she truly fell in love.
Kala flew over to the US to meet with her friend Nadia about a possible business venture. Nadia also decided to enlist the help of her friend Dan Wang. Although the business venture didn't flourish, Kala and Dan's relationship did. They dated for a few months and in December, Kala returned to Bangkijm but a month later Dan flew to Thailand to visit Kala, In April 2006. the couple took a trip to Vanconver.
